İnfrared recording with camcoder

Hi to everyone,

I have just bought a digital camcoder Sony TRV410. It has nightshot
capability. In the normal mode, that is not using it with nightshot, I can
easily see image thru #89B & #87C, which is practical very dark or opaque.
The appearence is quite well. Within house or dim condition, the image
becomes so dark that you can not see anything. At that stage, you can turn
to nightshot, the light comes out to be too much. You can not get a good
image. It works at night.

What I want to do is to preview with camcoders the image which I get, if I
like it I wish to shoot it to HIE. For this reason I like to work with the
same filters as in camera, #89B & #87C. So what do you think about this
senario? Has anyone know the sensitivity of the camcoders and
characteristics of the blocking filter?

Regards,

İbrahim
