It was the changing bag

I posted a few weeks ago about problems I'd been having with a roll
of HIE that had stripes and fogging.

I just got back a test roll that I opened in the changing bag (with
the bag in full sun), pulled out 1/2 the roll, rewound into the
cannister, an sent to the lab. Sure enough, I have a roll that is 1/2
black,1/2white, so THAT changing bag won't be used for IR any more,
andmay not get used for regular film, either.

FWIW, it was the smallchanging bag sold by B&H. I guess its time
tosearch the archives for specific changing bags that are IR proof -
hope I can find something at B&H, Calumet, or Adorama.
