Yes, but I still don't understand, in an age of fairly inexpensive 4, 8, 16K
trilinear CCDs, why they stopped at 1k? It may have been for signal-to-noise
ratio of the sensors as bigger pixels(usually) means better. There are 8K+
trilinear CCDs operating with 16 bit ADCs with little noise. Bigger sensor
area should also allow them to get a respectable equivalent film speed -
usually lacking in today's digital cameras. I'm sure with the reputation and
fine craftmanship of Seitz that the quality will be excellent...but poor
resolution...(?)

I too like the warmth of film...it burns cleanly.

Definitely - but still higher than trying to get the information from a DV
camera and better option than any other method requiring "stitching" of
frames.

I was originally referring to the 24/35 actually - I still like the warmth
and feel of film.
