I'm using an Epson 1600 with a transparency adaptor. It give
reasonably good scans that can be enlarged up to 5 to 6 times.
So a 35 Noblex negative, for example, would yield a 6x18 print
or so. This assumes that you are sending a 300 dpi file to your
printer. Some people think 240-260 dpi is all the printer needs
so you could get a 10 x 30 inch print at this resolution.
Epson has a new model 1640 which seems to have the same specs
and is less than half the price. I have not seen any reviews of it
yet.
