Harold,

            Do yourself a big favor and crawl before you can walk. Ive had
mine since 11/96 and I still havent figured the whole thing out yet. I would
first use the manual mode first to help you get tuned into using the camera.
There are some adjustments that may need to be made but try to figure out the
problems first. Im sure with the members on the list we would be able to lend
you helping hand!

PS the white ball that you call a"sensor" is not and it also has nothing to do
with how much film is being measured or indicating what is left on the roll.
Thats contained within the parameters for the particular film (120/220)
length.
